The Special Weapons And Tactics (S.W.A.T. for short) team is a type of law enforcement organization that currently features in all of the Postal games to date.

POSTALEdit

SWATp1

S.W.A.T. first featured in Postal. They appear at the start of the game, situated outside of the Postal Dude's house. Throughout the course of the game, S.W.A.T. teams appear as a main enemy, and the player is required to battle through waves of them as well as regular Police forces while causing havoc. They wield shotguns and Machine guns.

POSTAL 2Edit

S.W.AT. make a reappearance in Postal 2, and are called in to the town of Paradise on Thursday to keep the peace due to the alleged serial killer on the loose (it is presumably the Postal Dude), as well as to attend a convention as noted in the Paradise Times. However, some S.W.A.T. agents are seen since Monday in a house in Chicken Queen Estates. They are generally tougher than the standard Police, as they wear protective body armor and carry stronger weapons such as the Machine Gun. With their high health and body armor, they are the toughest human enemies in the game, other than the semi-boss characters Gary Coleman and Krotchy. They are unaware of the Postal Dude's actions until eventually they attempt to take him down during a gunfight at Meat World. Another S.W.A.T. team confronts the Postal Dude on Friday in the Parcel Center, on his way out of the place after taking his package. The S.W.A.T. team abruptly breaks into the Parcel Center from a glass ceiling in the main storage.

Eternal DamnationEdit

The S.W.A.T. also features in the third party mod Eternal Damnation. A S.W.A.T. team is called to Hasselridge to fight John Murray, an escapee from a mental asylum that had already slayed fellow patients, members from the asylum staff, and even police officers. This S.W.A.T. team shares many traits from that of the Paradise team, but they are wearing gas masks instead, and they are not as tough and organized as the Paradise S.W.A.T.

The first S.W.A.T. team appears at the Downtown, just as John is about to reach Lorie's Apartment. John must defeat 10 SWAT agents before he can take the elevator. After talking to his girlfriend Lorie Heath, John must make his way to a hideout and is confronted by another S.W.A.T. team, who has arrived to the neighboring building. When John jumps from a window and falls unconscious into a garbage dump, he is taken to the Harbor to recover. The Harbor has some S.W.A.T. headquarters, and on his way out, John has to face the S.W.A.T. for the last time.

The S.W.A.T. is absent for the rest of the game; however, some S.W.A.T. zombies are introduced later in the game. Like the S.W.A.T. agents, the S.W.A.T. zombies are tougher, wearing body armors and are even armed, though they use their weapons only from time to time.

Postal IIIEdit

S.W.A.T. once again reappear in Postal III as either an ally or hostiles depending on which path the player takes.

In the Good Path, they support the Postal Dude in two missions with the Postal Dude eventually getting promoted to become one.

In the bad path, they are fought in two missions. Despite their gear, S.W.A.T. have about the same health as an average officer with the only difference being their machine gun weaponry. Their helmets can be shot off but it's questionable whether this holds any tactical advantage.
