The MP5 (also known as the Submachine Gun) is a weapon in POSTAL 2.
Description[]
The MP5 is an automatic weapon with two fire modes: semi-auto & full-auto. In POSTAL 2 Complete, it is set to full-auto by default, but in Eternal Damnation semi-auto is the default. Compared to the game's other automatic weapon, the Machine Gun, the MP5 deals more damage (a little over 50% more damage per shot), but ammo for it is more difficult to find around town. However, it loses accuracy at long range.
Trivia[]
- It is based on a "chopped and converted" Heckler & Koch HK94, a civilian version of the MP5 that was commonly used in films to stand in for one.
- Prior to version 5100 (20th anniversary update) of POSTAL 2 Complete, this weapon only held 400 rounds. This was likely changed due to the changes related to the Machine Pistol.
