The Postal Dude's "1987 DeFuQue" parked outside his trailer

"Hey Chico, I need an alternator for an '87 DeFuQue" — The Postal Dude talking to the junkyard owner

Cars are objects found in POSTAL 2, Apocalypse Weekend, Paradise Lost, Postal 3 and POSTAL 4: No Regerts. Despite being vehicles, they cannot be driven and are nothing more than eye-candy. They can, however, be blown up if shot at. This explosion can be used strategically to kill enemies that are after the Postal Dude by blowing the nearest car up.

The only time a car is seen working is at the end of Apocalypse Weekend, when the Postal Dude and Champ are seen escaping and pulling the Postal Dude's trailer away from Paradise after the town is being destroyed by a nuclear explosion.

Trivia[]

  • The Postal Dude and Paradise Times usually ridicule the fact that cars are not driveable in the game and instead are "useless exploding props".
  • The two-door hatchback variant of the car found in the game is apparently called the "1987 DeFuQue" or " '87 Daifukyu ", as said by the Postal Dude in the Junkyard on Friday. Its name is an obvious attempt at crude humor.
    • However, the name could also be an indirect pun on the DeLorean, a car that became famous thanks to the Back To The Future trilogy.
    • The name could also be a reference to a "1987 Daihatsu" as the car also resembles a 1987 Daihatsu Charade.
  • The engine bay pictured is actually from an 88-91 Honda Civic Si/EX.
  • There is no animation for the car door opening, as can be seen on Monday; when the Postal Dude enters the car, he actually just crouches.
  • The Postal Dude's car and most of the cars lying around Paradise are based on the Volkswagen Golf (also known as the Volkswagen Rabbit in North America) in POSTAL 2.
    • In Postal III and Postal 4: No Regerts, the Dude's car resembles the Volkswagen Golf MK2.
  • On Monday, there is a taxi that has the word "Money" printed on its license plate that can be found parked behind the Book Repository.
    • It also had modified BBS style rims.
      • However, in the trailer, it had its original rims.
  • The Taxi and the Police cars are based on the 2nd Generation Ford Crown Victoria P71
  • The Lowrider is based on the 4th Generation Chevrolet Impala SS.
  • Even though the Paradise Times and the Postal Dude say that cars a nothing but "useless exploding props", the police do use them as shown in a few cut-scenes in POSTAL 2 and Postal III.
  • The license plate on the Police car in POSTAL 2, instead of being an Arizona plate, is an edited North Dakota license plate.
    • While the "POLICE" lettering is facing the correct way alongside the expiration tags, the rest of the license plate is flipped.
